Supervised and instructional worship is held every Wednesday’s at 6:00 p.m.

Highway Children's Zoom

First Sundays: Ministry Of The Word

Where we introduce a possible new topic and breaking down The Word of God.

Second Sundays: Activities

All activities, games, etc. are always based on that month’s subject, to give students another way to receive God’s Word.

Third Sundays: Rap Session

This is where we separate our 5-8 graders from our 1-4 graders in another space, to rap (talk) on more deep and hard-hitting subject matters, and see what God’s Word has to say concerning those hot topics.

Fourth Sundays: Sunday Funday!

Typically on fourth Sundays, we’re in the sanctuary. But for the Sundays we aren’t, we will be in Highway for fun surprising activities!

Haitian Mission

Young people are active in helping Haitian children through sponsorship, letter exchanges, support, and gifts.

COVID-19 POLICY

We are excited to have our BOLCC Highway Children’s Ministry open. We have developed a few guidelines based on best practices from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Guidelines may change as necessary and will be communicated to parents, children, and Highway team members.

General Guidlines

  • Children and adults that enter Highway must wear a mask.
  • Children and adults must sanitize their hands upon entry into Highway.
  • Pens will be provided when signing the child in and out and will be sanitized after each person’s use.
  • Snacks will be provided to children as they leave Highway.
  • Children will be assigned a seat and number. This will make contact tracing easier if a child tests positive or is exposed to COVID-19.
  • A physical distance of at least 3 feet (or 6 feet) will be maintained between children to reduce transmission risk.
  • Temperatures will be taken when parents and children enter the main BOLCC ministry entrance.
  • If a child or adult in Highway tests positive or is exposed to COVID-19, only the individual’s status will be shared for contract tracing. BOLCC pastoral staff, BOLCC leadership, and appropriate Highway Children’s ministry team members will know the name of the child or adult. Information will be kept confidential.

Parent Guidlines

  • All adults must wear a mask prior to entering Highway.
  • Ensure that children wear a mask prior to entering Highway
    • If a child does not have a mask prior to entering or drops his or her mask during service, a new mask will be provided.
  • Ensure that children bring their own Bible.
  • Ensure that you or another responsible adult signs the child(ren) in and out of Highway immediately after leaving service in the main sanctuary.
    • Only one responsible adult will be allowed to sign a child(ren) in or out of Highway service.
    • While waiting to sign a child(ren) in or out, all adults will have to maintain social distancing at the Highway desk.
    • Two parents will be allowed enter Highway when picking up their child(ren). Proper social distancing procedures will be followed.
  • If a child has tested positive or been exposed to COVID-19, you are to notify Minister Malik Johnson within 24 hours of the child’s positive test or exposure to COVID-19.
    • If a child has tested positive for COVID-19, the child will not be able to attend Highway until proof of a negative COVID-19 test is presented.
    • If a child has been exposed to a person with COVID-19, the child will not be able to attend Highway until proof of a negative COVID-19 test is presented or after 10 consecutive days with no fever or symptoms.
    • If a child begins to feel ill during service, the parent will be contacted immediately; and the child will be isolated from other children.
